Media Xpose nurturing young talent

July 12, 2022

As a responsible company that looks towards growth, building capacity and retaining talent is a key component of the business.

Earlier this year, Ketsia Makola and Sherwin Kastoor were hired as Junior Salespersons, and have been afforded the opportunity to grow their skillset in different areas of the business.

Ketsia Makola has now joined the Digital Team where she will be mentored by Digital Marketing Manager, Jay-dee van Rensburg. “Digitisation plays such a crucial role in business, and it is great to be able to develop young talent in this field. Ketsia brings with her optimism, fresh ideas and energy, and I have no doubt that she will be an asset to the digital team,” says van Rensburg.

Sherwin Kastoor joins the Distribution Team where he will be trained as an assistant to the Distribution Manager, Shihaam Gyer. “Print remains a core component of our operations at Media Xpose. We are ultimately the logistics arm of the Media Xpose team ensuring that publications go out on time to retail, events, clients and readers. It’s exciting to have a new face part of the Distribution team, particularly a young person, as this is an area that will assist in developing his social/communication and project management skills – characteristics that will help drive his career going forward,” says Gyer.

“As Media Xpose grows, so too do our employees. Employees are the core of our business and it is important that leaders recognise and harness talent. A strong team leads to a strong business. It is very rewarding to be able to unlock opportunities for young people, particularly in our current environment where unemployment rates continue to soar. I have no doubt that with the correct guidance, Ketsia and Sherwin will grow and gain invaluable experience, which will assist in driving their future career aspirations,” concludes Elroy van Heerden, CEO Media Xpose.
