The entries were judged by a distinguished panel of judges and moderators whose evaluation criteria included: efficiently utilising resources to communicate with impact; project management; quality and taking initiative.
“I am extremely humbled to receive this award. It is a proud moment for me personally, and also for Media Xpose which I founded almost 12 years ago. Over the years I have been extremely fortunate to work with an excellent team and build strong relationships with roleplayers in various sectors who have played a critical role in enabling this win,” says van Heerden.
Van Heerden was the editor in chief for the following publications: SA Profile (annual); Baby’s & Beyond (quarterly); Rove SA (quarterly); To Build (quarterly); SA Building Review (annual); and South African Business Integrator (quarterly). In addition to the editor of the year title coming to Media Xpose, the above-mentioned titles were recognised in different areas including: Excellence in Design; Excellence in Writing; Excellence in Communication etc.
“Winning this award is a testament that hard work, innovation, building strong partnerships, dedication to excellence and taking risks – we released a new publication Future SA in the midst of the lockdown, which retails nationally – pays off. This is a very exciting time for the Media Xpose team and I thank the SA Publication Forum for recognising our fantastic publications. Additionally, a big thank you to all our stakeholders including readers, partners, contributors and advertisers – your support remains invaluable and continues to drive us to new heights,” concludes van Heerden.
